Congressional R&D Caucus Briefing
On Tuesday, March 16, I spoke at the annual Congressional R&D Caucus budget briefing. Rep. Rush Holt (D-NJ), a co-chair of the R&D Caucus, provided some opening remarks before my overview of the R&D investment in the President's FY 2011 budget request. The current AAAS estimate for the FY 2011 R&D investment is $148.1 billion, essentially flat from last year. Within that flat budget however, there are significant shifts in funding. See the AAAS news item at http://bit.ly/bwuqe0 for the full story, and the AAAS R&D Budget and Policy Program website at http://www.aaas.org/spp/rd for presentation slides and further updates.
